CORE AVIONIC PRODUCT LINES

Asterope’s core product lines include both shielded and unshielded 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24 AWG solutions featuring advanced ETFE and FEP insulation and jacketing.

These product suites allows Asterope to meet a substantial portion of the market’s core avionic needs for both conventional and experimental aircraft.


Asterope aerospace products have been extensively tested and proven to substantially increase electrical, mechanical and temperature performance.

•  Test results show that Asterope’s reduced attenuation rates and increased signal transfer reliability is a primary performance benefit, supporting the delivery of higher data rates over longer lengths of the wire, providing system-specific weight savings of 10% or more by minimizing the need for additional amplifiers, relay switchers, terminators and repeaters.

•  Asterope showed dramatically enhanced performance with dynamic cut through tests, which speaks to the improved intigrity of the jacketing and interior build materials under high flex and pinch conditions, allowing Asterope’s wire to withstand greater stress and trauma during assembly, installation, maintenance and general use.

•  Aerospace wires are all subjected to critical flammability testing.  In the standard 60˚ flame test, Asterope’s samples performed exceedingly well showing no incendiary drops of any kind, while revealing a well above average cable damage length which impressively was only nominally larger than the cone of the flame applied to the test sample.

•  Avionic installation requires easy to read circuit identification.  Asterope showed significantly better performance benefits in its UV markability tests with highest industry ratings per its high contrast performance, showing clear and bold text that is extremely legible, supporting higher ease of use during installation and service.
